'Ziggurat' was designed by Ar. Suryakant Patel, completed in 1985. Central space of the house, 'the well' consists of a double-height, circular, open-to-sky courtyard of 6 meters diameter surrounded by 12 brick masonry arches between masonry pillars.

Years of using it as a weekend home with a beautiful court, Dr. Bharat Mody and his family wish to enclose the space to prevent from rains and pests, making it a covered living space without taking away from the ethos of the existing structure.
